"You dig giant robots. I dig giant robots. We dig giant robots. Chicks dig giant robots."My ode to mechs, featuring a mix of some of the great classics and a few of my personal favorites. Looks like that poor kaiju picked the wrong neighborhood to mess around in.
The mechs featured are (from left to right): Eva Unit 001 (Neon Genesis Evangelion), Voltron, the Dino Megazord (Power Rangers), RX-78-2 Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam), Megas XLR, Big O, and Gypsy Danger (Pacific Rim)
The Kaiju is an original design, though my main inspiration was clearly Pacific Rim with maybe just a little Rainbow In The Dark thrown in.

In your comments you listed the source for each of the robots I already recognize, but you didn't for the two I don't know. Β Where are Megas XLR and Big O from?

I left out the title whenever it was the same as the name of the robot itself. So, Megas XLR is from Megas XLR and Big O is from Big O. lol, real helpful, right? For a little bit of context, Megas was a fairly short-lived (2 seasons, I think) American cartoon that was sort of a parody of mostly giant robot animes, but lots of other stuff as well. (They referenced everything from Sailor Moon to MODOK.) It also had one of the best theme songs of all times. (That whole "____ dig giant robots" bit in my description comes from that.) As far as I know, it's not on DVD or Netflix or anything, so I'll feel no guilt when I say that the whole series is on YouTube. As for Big O, it's an actual Japanese anime that they play on Adult Swim from time to time. The best way most people describe itΒ is "What if Bruce Wane had a mech instead of a bat costume".
