Ah, that awkward moment when you see the group you'll be sharing a convention center with all weekend!

Seriously, I've seen mash-up that aren't too far off from this, particularly when one of our local anime cons come around. One of my favorites was one year when Ohayocon bumped up with some cheerleader competition. I saw a string of 'em walking through the food court, single file, and their parents were making them walk with their hands to the sides of their eyes so that they could only see directly in front of them. The best was when I saw a different group of young, elementary school aged girls and their obviously buttoned down, conservative parents taking a picture with what I have to assume they thought was just a big, cute teddy bear, but was, in fact, Pedobear. As they say, there was much lulz.

But, yeah, "Sunstone" fan art! Woo! I'm shame driven and repressed enough that I tend to think of it as a "guilty pleasure", (Seriously, I'm having, like, a minor panic attack thinking about posting this to my facebook fan page where my mom will see it.) but damn is it, in fact, an excellent comic. Underneath all of the lesbian S&M stuff is actually a very compelling, surprisingly sweet story. Very character driven, which I love. Plus, it's all done by one of my top, all time favorite artist, so what's not to love?
