The Story
____________
Worry flashed through her like lightning from the storms. Something ill was heading their way, she was warned from dargona of this, to be on their guard. Vanora seemed to drown them all out with their chatter. Vanora bothered not with dressing or wearing clothes, her fellow tribe would not be pleased to see her dressed in fine silks. Hooves pounded against the pavement as she was leaving the floating island, her mission was to warn her herd, to let them know. Eyes darted about looking for a dragon willing to let her down, soon she was able to find one, she believe it was the red pandas dragon, he said he could give her a ride, but not one back up. Vanora didn't care, she would stay with her tribe fro a bit. The storm was getting closer and closer, the air smelled foul. The dragon dropped her off and headed his way back to safety. Vanora galloped onwards, looking for her herd, her tribe, her family.

Thunder boomed and rain began to fall, but it was not rain. It burned the second it touched her flesh. It started off as faint sprinkles and suddenly it was pouring with that burning acid. It burned her back to the point her flesh was easily seen on her back, at times she tumbled, and was lucky to not have broken a leg. Her heart was racing more for worry, she seemed to care little for the pain even though it was eating her away. Vanora was so close to her home, so close to helping her fmaily, yet as she reached their woods... She saw no one. Not a single centaur was there... All of them gone... Vanora ran out into the open meadows calling for them all, yet nothing. She heard no one, nothing but the hissing of the burning rain. Tears fell down her face, she was alone... She had lost the one thing she swore to protect with her life. Vanora failed... They all failed.

TREEEEEEEEE, this is so beautiful. I don't know how to explain how elegant and yet somewhat simple and soft your style is, and it suits Vanora so well. <3 I love her pose and how you've drawn the hair/ tail and everything else. I can't wait to see the final piece, and your beautiful drawing of Vanora has made me really excited to draw her.

You're welcome Tree! <3 I find centaurs a total pain pretty much all the time because they involve hooves...
