There are certainly a number of elements that I'd say come together to make an excellent painting. Firstly, I have to mention the textures, especially pertaining to the sky, clouds, and grass. I believe they take the painting to a whole new class where otherwise it'd be less interesting. Also the subtle shades of white, mixed with touches of blue make for dazzling snow and clouds. I know just how hard it is to make both those things look stellar so I for one appreciate them. Lastly the action, and focal point of the butterfly's, with there soft palette and gentle colors give this painting a warm springlike feeling. Wonder full job sir.
