Description This is the coloured version of the original Bats Chance lineart.

Originally I didn't post it because I wasn't happy with how I coloured it but I've fixed it up. Still not completely happy with it but it's definately an improvement.

Vampire on the left is Sally, werewolf on the right is Angua.
Both characters belong to the Discworld universe © Terry Pratchett

DAMMIT, WHY'D YOU HAVE TO DRAW THIS? YOU'VE UNLEASHED THE FEMSLASH THAT'S BEEN WAITING SINCE I READ THUD!.

Anyway, excellent work. I love the subtle differences in their builds, and the way you colored it. They both look like fashionable peasants, which is not something you see alot of in Pratchett art.

Nicely layed out perspective to this piece. The Shade blend for the backdrop adds even more to your perspective. If your using Adobe for your colouring layers, perhaps using the smug and burn tools to make your penciling lines to shades, giving it abit more of a realistic feel, or if you want to go more traditional style anime give your lines some solid hold and shape rather then the freehand style your using, even though I am a big fan of the freestyling free hand scratch look myself.

I have tried other inking styles and when it comes to doing lineart the look of my lines mostly depend on the media used. Anything drawn from scratch on the computer with the tablet is usually in the wispy freehand style.
However, if I'm drawing by hand and decide to ink it the lines are alot more solid (I use the Staedtler pigment liner005 - which I think is what you had said you use). You can see examples of that in some of my older pictures (ie. angel ears, tree nymph2).

Although I'm not sure what you mean by making my pencil lines to shades... do you mean to fade them in with the rest of the drawing so they're not so pronounced?

-wishes he had a tablet- I need to get one . And yes on the pencil lines, I think it would work in this particular piece.
