I always liked the original the best. Maybe because I was young enough to see it so many times and the animated version. I like the angle of this shot.

To me the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) shall always be a classic. Something about stirs the senses, albeit the simplicity of design. It's not over routed with Greebles, and hardpoint. I see a classic by all terms. Like a 57 Chevy, it makes a statement that this is a starship. It's not menacing, and it's functional. It's design is purpose, it's lines unique. Overtime even refitted, this ship conveys respect, admiration, and the feeling that has stirred so many to become fans. This pose is not so flattering until you take in what you are seeing. I bow in respect, and honor to Matt Jeffries for making something that even after 50 years will be relevant to American History if not World History. How many of us have something we made sitting in the Gift shop of the Smithsonian?
