It's amazing what can happen in 12 hours. I got up early this morning and went to the gym to vent some frustration in the hope of actually relaxing some this weekend. When I came home, I posed this out while eating breakfast and started the render. While rendering, we got a phone call from a man who manages his own rental properties and currently has three open, with more coming. He said the pets were no issue and would be calling back tonight to discuss the properties. I know it's nothing definitive, but with how many time we've been rejected, having somebody say they're willing to work with us is a great feeling.ΒThank you everybody for the caring words last night, I try to keep RL out of my "art" (I hate considering myself an artist, btw), but I consider many of you friends, and it was nice to feel the love.

Now, that is good news! If he is an indie, has multiple properties, and doesn't care about three animals, then it sounds like a winning situation. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
As for keeping RL out of your art, maybe you can, maybe you can't. Maybe you should let it inspire your art in some way. Believe it or not, RL drives my work more often than it doesn't. Robert Kennedy, quoting George Bernard Shaw, said, "Some men see things as they are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were, and ask why not." So, I answer that question in my art, namely, a world in which the good guys (or gals in my case) can win. Because, according to the evening news, good can't win in our world. So, my art is an antidote to my own depression. Just my two wooden nickels worth.
