The Ice Truck Killer, Rudy Cooper/Brian Moser from the TV series Dexter on Showtime.While I hadn't read Darkly Dreaming Dexter at the time when the series premiered, the character of Dexter intrigued me. He was a cold-blooded, unfeeling killer, but he wasn't portrayed as insane. Quite contrary, he was charming and friendly and had a sharp intellect that was never clouded by rage.
Then I saw the character of Rudy/Brian. He was everything Dexter was but better. By far. He was more charming, smarter, more strong and, what appealed to me most, he showed no mercy and killed "without reason or regret."

Thanks, man. It's pretty old, and in honor of the series' end (been rewatching it on Netflix,) I'm planning on doing some more up-to-par Dexter art in the near future.

Rudy is the best character from the Dexter series for me. I love him. His execution is the best scene in the series. :]

Mmm Biney! Yeah, and the fact that the actor who portrays him is absolutely great doesn't hurt the character at all, does it.

Yeah I've only watched the show so far, both seasons. Have to say I fell in love with his character; sadistic yet composed and intelligent yet lost. It was a major bummer that he was snuffed so soon. I was hoping he'd be a reocurring threat later on in the series just because I saw him as Dexter's rival. Sadly, he was killed and I still think his existence as Brian Moser instead of Rudy Cooper got little air time. Second season was okay. Hated Lyla and what happened to Doakes was sad. First was better for the sole fact of Brian. Hopefully, someone even more ominous can replace him.

*Spoilers*
In the books, Brian kills LeGuerta and hightails it out of there before anyone can catch him, and Dexter helps him in his escape, if I recall correctly, so in the books, there's still a chance.
And if they have any wits about them, they'll use Dr. Danco from the second book, though with Doakes dead that plot would be... less interesting. Oh, well. Danco still takes the cake for sadistic sociopath.
