Last week the Daily Show aired a clip discussing the relevance of muslims in comics. Aasif Mandvi did the interview with the rather ignorant, bigoted creator of this awful comic called "Pigman", then interviewed a writer form the Comics Alliance who discussed the comic book I worked for DC, Nightrunner.Anyway they used a bunch of my artwork including this DPS as a promo.

even Being Muslim, i always admired all the superheroes regardless of their background, race or religion. i just dont see what the fuss is about.

I loved the part where Aasif tried to understand how Nightrunner's "power" was parkour. And how he put on that costume at the end and fell on his ass! Ha ha!

On one hand, it's sad that there are people out there who would make issue with Muslim characters in comics - especially such a great character as Nightrunner.
On the other hand, The Daily Show is great and I am so happy that this venue provides further exposure for both Nightrunner and your incredible artwork. I hope there will be more of both in the near future!

dude I'm so down! I'll have my lovely shop lady hold one for me. ^_^ I know the feeling though, I've got my own book slated to self publish the first two issues in July and I'm doing everything solo! half my brain already left in the dead of night. didn't even leave a note. @_#
