Description
Tales of a Gaijin Kickstarter! Book one, 100 comics, plus extras! And sweet rewards! Go check it out! [link]So this may not be funny fun fun like I usually do, but I wanted to show you all a bit of what teaching Enlgish in Japan can mean. The good, and the downright frustrating.
This kid speaks pretty good English, but he doesn't like to work hard. So, he'll cheat off his classmates, or look at my answer book, or be all "I don't know the answers! Read this passage to me!" but it all depends on his mood. There are some days where he DOES work hard and only needs a little push.
Also, sometimes kids won't tell you what's hard for them, so you can't help them, which just makes everyone more frustrated.
So here we go, one of the more difficult times in this class. Ah, the tribulations of an English conversation teacher ^_^
Enjoy!

hehe so true, i teach piano and sometimes the kids just won't tell you what's wrong... at least with piano though they're actually playing so i can hear where they struggle and try to work out what's going wrong from that point, but sometimes it's almost impossible....
and then their mum phones to tell you because they know the kid won't say it O.o :S

Admitting you have a problem is often the hardest thing.

This sounds familiar, in fact, I've been the frustrated child on many an occasion. I saw the other side of it once, that was even more frustrating, and a little amusing.

The issue is, sometimes he's frustrated and sometimes he's just being lazy, and either can lead to the other...It's tricky! T_T
