When I saw the colorless version, I was undecided about whether or not I wanted it in my favorites. My mind is made up now. Nice work. I love your handling of the little wrinkles in the arches, both in this and in your Marionowak commission. It makes them look soft and malleable.
Also, you never seem to go overboard with it, so I just see soft soles, rather than an artist trying to over-indulge.Β

I'm glad you said that last bit actually. Over-rendering something that I'm always keeping in mind not to do too much. From what I've noticed over the years, as far as tickling or foot-fetish artwork is concerned, too much rendering,shading,lighting, and detail usually ends up making the drawing look too messy and less fun, like the detail ends up distracting from the point of the drawing. So finding a balance between detail/rendering, style, and the actual content and purpose of the drawing is something I try to remember when I'm working. It's easy to just keep detailing stuff, but sometimes ya gotta hold back a bit haha.
Often times, less is more. Not sure if you meant it in that way or not hahaha, but I appreciate that comment alot. The Sage indeed speaks the truth. heh.
(That being said, I'm probably gonna end up going overboard in like...the next drawing I do or something lol, maybe, we'll see, probably not hahaha)
