i think the body design is just as creepy as that face, all the hairs protruding from its body as well as the eyes on its head/back.

Despite not being nearly as big, this guy'd probably be a really epic boss to fight Colossus-style. It'd also be pretty frickin' scary.
I still think the fights in SotC would be way more epic if you could hack any part of the body you want and that each way will eventually lead to the destruction of the creature. So in this case, hacking away at its legs would not entirely kill it, but will immobilize it. It could possibly bleed to death i guess... but you get the drift.

that was the original plan, but if i did, i'd have to go back and change the poly flow so there would be less triangles, so that it would up-res correctly.
that would be a hassle and i think im ready to move on to other stuffs, so i'll probably save high poly stuff for later projects

There's a human to the far left to show the Manticore's size, right? Also, the rough pencil (they kinda look like hairs) works really well with the overall body of the monster
