As this gallery approaches its 3-year aniversary, it is time for the traditional reflection upon the previous year. A time when I go through my old sketchbooks and look at all the drawings that didn't get posted in the gallery. Most failed drawings obviously failed for good reason, but there are a few that, despite their artistic or thematic shortcomings, still deserve to be shared. And it will be these drawings that will be featured in this: my third annual sketchdump!This scene was just too ambitious for my abilities...
It was supposed to be a herd of horses grazing in a valley, being watched over by some Elf horsekeepers. And one of those Elves would have been a High Elf, because being giant sized would be a very useful trait when shepherding large animals!
Alas, it just wasn't meant to be....

Again, it sounds like it would've been pretty awesome to see. I can definitely see how the giant size would help out for being a shepherd, especially in such a hilly landscape.
