Sim: The Republic of Hayao
Character name: Trinity

Type: Superheroine

Alter ego: Brit, Brittany Writer

Powers:
-Three times the strength, speed, and stamina of a peak athelete including a top speed of 90 MPH and an ability to leap great distances. Her Emerald Aura (see below) can magnify any of these powers, but at a cost of reducing its effectiveness on defense.

-"Emerald Aura"- a ghostly aura that resists most mundane damage and provides immunity to toxins as well as a limited ability to heal Trinity and anyone else she spreads the aura to. This will purify the target and will undo the effects of drugs, toxins, poisons, possession, mind control, and even technological "impurities" like nanobots. Basically the aura seeks out any "taint" in the target and can, will time, burn it away or force it out. The aura can detect the presence of "taint" in anyone it touches. It cannot repair significant physical damage, it can only cleanse the wound and enable the victim's body to heal more easily on it's own. The aura can also augment Trinity's other powers temporarily.

-Multi-Launcher capable of discharging directed electricity that can stun an opponent or can be switched to deploy jets of knockout gas. It also has a grapple attachment and can work like an airgun to fire versions of Trinity's hand-held bombs.

-Utility Belt containing homing devices and a detector, Mini Stun Gun, Knockout Gas Bombs, Ultrasonic Bombs, EMP Grenades, Flashbang Grenades, and a grappler for the Multi-Launcher.

-Training in unarmed combat, espionage techniques, and meditation. In particular, her martial arts skills are quite advanced.

-Alter-Ego- the fact that there are three souls within this one body, and three minds, makes Trinity essentially immune to mind control and gives her an incredible amount of willpower. To some extent, this effect operates all the time, even when not in Trinity mode, though her willpower is much less as just Brit and she is often more vulnerable to more subtle forms of manipulation.

Weaknesses:
-Aura does not block damage from cold-wrought iron (normal iron or iron alloys are less effective)

-Aura has limited effectiveness versus magical effects. Depending on the type of effect, her aura may offer some protection still, or none at all. In particular, curses and magical methods of poisoning or possession still do not function, but more direct effect such as magical energy-based attacks work fairly well, and magical matter-based attacks, such as webs or magic weapons are almost unaffected by the aura.

-Powers must be summoned-summoning requires her to touch her birthmark (on her left breast) and speak aloud the word "Trinity".

-Powers last one hour before requiring re-summon. They do not, however, grow weaker as the time limit expires, they are at full strength until they shut off completely. She wears a tiny electronic timer on her belt that beeps at the five minute, two minute, and one minute mark.

-Code vs. Killing and Death (use this one!)- She will not allow anyone to die by either her action or inaction- this means if you have a hostage and Trinity does not think that she can stop you from killing that hostage, she may well be made to surrender.

Origin Note:
-Trinity's powers come from the fact that her body is occupied by two ghostly spirits, one is ancient evil, the other is a relative. The ancient evil is constantly trying to escape and take over Trinity's conscious control and can be detected and interacted with by telepaths. It also typically intercedes on mind-control attempts, and will try to "infect" the minds of the invading telepath.

Hayao Background: Originally sent to the island to investigate and potentially undermine the ruling government, Trinity is now marooned there without the support of her mentor and the group for which she originally worked. But even one person can make a difference, given the right opportunity, so she continues her mission.

She is now, for better or worse, the unofficial "Voice of the Resistance" and something of a leader. She has learned that Black Bile, Lord of Hayao, has a long history with the previous Trinity, Brit's grandmother, and may, in fact, _be_ Brit's own grandfather. She also knows that he was once a good man but has become overwhelmed by the taint of evil and deep in her heart she thinks she is the only one that can save him.

She has a loose collection of friends including the heroine Tempest, the speedster Nytbyrd, her first partner in Hayao, Kit Vyxen, her niece and former sidekick Sparkler as well as a strange love-hate relationship with the criminal Arachne. She also has an even stranger relationship with the powerful Arena Champion Ruthless Razor.

As Brit, she has a number of friends on both sides of the battle and runs a successful counseling center in Hayao, with many heroines and Guardians alike going to her for services. She has also has on-again-off-again relationships with some prominent Republic figures including Constable Rendell Carter and Black Watch leader Grenadier.

Current Background: Eventually, Trinity and her allies left Hayao and returned to the states, specifically to the infamous city of Mythic where she has begun to renew ties with old friends and old allies all while once again attracting the attention of old enemies as well...

Despite the fact that Mr. Frost can't tamper with her mentally, I think it would be interesting to see how she clashes with him.

So, she left Hayao for good? I wanted to meet her in SL person. Hope I can see you there.

Well the storyboard version of Trinity is after having left Hayao- the version I play in SL is still in Hayao.

Hehe well, I bought in in SecondLife- I can tell you where- the leotard, the mask, and the accessory belt are from different places, but in particular the belt and the costume are fairly cheap!

A good old-fashioned character portrait. Perfect!

Trinity also has a lot more supernatural powers than I expected. The Emerald Aura is interesting enough, but it seems very... utility. I wish I could describe it better.

I personally imagined her as a gadget heroine. Then again, we have not spoken much. ^_^;

Well she's not, really, she has just a few specific gizmos that she's accumulated over time. Her triple-ness, the triple strength, speed, agility, etc is her main thing, with the aura, which can augment any of those qualities in addition to the purification stuff it does.

Trinity at her base, though, is definitely a supernatural figure, with the demon curse and all that, but she's not afraid to use whatever tools are available, either- that goes as far back as the earliest versions of her- she originally got started in a sort of DnD-like world- the "original" Trinity was a rogue, and certainly not above using the tools of her trade even after being bonded with the demon.

That might help explain things a little more.

Favorite type of gag?

trinity0666 In reply to phantomdotexe [2009-08-27 23:52:09 +0000 UTC]

Haha well, I suppose my personal favorite is a multi-layer cloth gag- typically consisting of stuffing, a cleave holding that in place, then an overmouth atop that, with an over-the-nose-and-mouth top layer, typically, or some permutation thereof. I don't care for ball gags (too ordinary) and I don't care for tape (the lazy kidnapper way)- other choices are negotiable.

Well, now I know. :3

I agree with you as far as tape goes. Kissability is nice ,but it just seems so... done.

90mph with that costume?! Hope she has 'support' either within or from that costume... or imagine the 'jiggle' you might be able to see while she is in a sprint....he he.

Haha! Well, that's the other secret power of her defensive aura! It's better than a sports bra and spirit gum combined!
