Description This is an old look at what Trinity's costume once was. My dear friend drew this then painted it with GIMP. He has told me he's working on a peril-themed one, too, so that will be good! Anyway, her look has certainly changed, huh?

I really wish I could do stylized art like this.... I've never been able to develop a personal style. I like the costume and can see how it evolved. It intrigues me that the artist had the real Brit to work from.

Thanks for sharing it, Brit.

Hehe well the color scheme was pretty much mutual... although back then I actually had Trinity having _blue_ eyes because I was trying to get away from my own eye color, but over time that was retconned away as Brit wearing colored contacts just to be different. My aura was blue back then, too, but we just sorta pretend that it kinda morphed from blue to blue-green to green as Trinity evolved. But, yes I like his style a lot and he'd better hurry up with that peril pic!!!

I will look forward to further pictures. I find it amusing that you grow your back story to accommodate character appearance changes, Brit. Your attention to detail amazes me.

Trying to maintain continuity drives me nuts when stories get longer and/or I've been using a character for a long time.

Her look HAS changed. I like all the triangles... I get the symbolism totally. It's a good look, very Silver Age which I love, but I have to admit I like the green uniform in your ID picture better. Maybe because I saw it first.... don't know. I like anything that highlights your lovely eyes too... maybe that's it.

I do like your friends drawing style... cartoony but dramatic. Very cool. These are certainly interesting and I'm glad you're taking the time to share them.

I'm going to be posting a peril themed one, assuming he finishes it, once I get it with that version of Trinity. Oh, I should tell you something else funny- for her first year, Trinity had blue eyes! I was eventually talked into matching her eyes against mine and changed it, the "retcon" being that she was wearing colored contacts.

Ohhh.... I'm glad you changed to the green eyes. I look forward to the peril themed picture. I hope he gets to it. Artists can be so flighty (thinks of the Mad One here and smiles). I should know.

Well, blue eyes were, well, exotic to me, something I'd never been able to experience, so, of course, my idealized character would have blue eyes. But as I've grown more comfortable with myself, I'm more comfortable with my characters being like _me_, so I guess that's what really explains the change.

You know, Brit, sometimes I think I really lack imagination. For the most part, it doesn't occur to me to make my AV/character look terribly different than myself. So... Molly has blue eyes in SL like in RL. It amazes me that you have that plasticity of imagination to be so different. Ruth does that too, more than anyone I have ever seen (she has so many looks, some not even human).

I DO love your look with green eyes... not for me, but for you.

Hehe yeah, Ruthie is a little bitty Asian woman, and she can imagine herself just as easily as a 6'4 300 pound cat person as she can a pale skinned Gothic bondage genie!

I'm glad you like my look! And thank you for complementing my creativity!

I'm teasing hun, considering the time it looks good. And to be honest it's more original then some I've seen in Hayao lately.......

Excuse me, I gotta go take care of Supergirl #6 (sighs), miss you girls...

Yes, she used to be dressed in red and white! The green and black happened once I got into SL!

Ahh, so that was the old look of her then!?

Wow. It's interesting to know how much characters do change (and evolve) over time, dear.

Yes, that was her probably ten or fifteen years ago realtime... before she lost her powers and went into semi-retirement, and before her powers resurfaced a couple years ago.

Well I've played a version of Trinity in a couple different tabletop RPGs and in a couple computer games throughout the years. My original original version came from TSR's Marvel Super Heroes game that was originally put out in the 80s, but the bulk of my play with her has been in a homebrew superhero game that's a little bit like MEGS (the old DC Heroes game by Mayfair) and a little bit like Marvel Super Heroes. So, yeah, she's been around. I think I first used her in a Yahoo group in around 1992.
