Summer, Year 768
Glenmore, the Gardens
She spent her free time alone, and those quiet afternoons when the sunlight drifted lazily through the canopy were as close to a sanctuary as she could imagine. The forest breathed, and she breathed with it, listening to the whisper of the wind in the leaves and the living heartbeat of the forest. Sometimes, when there was no one to see (except, perhaps, a curious squirrel) she practiced magic. Sometimes she made the grass grow. Sometimes she made the flowers bloom.

I can't believe I've spent all this time not drawing Mairi. Better late than never, I guess.
