This is probably one of the only times I will ever draw a character from the show

Yes, this was the whole reason I ever came up with Aphrodite. I wanted to draw Cadence's mommy :3

Aphrodite is not my OC, but rather, is a character free for everybody to draw ^_^

There was a comic that was going to go with this, but it isn't complete yet. It was going to be about Cadence's wedding. Her mom never showed up :[ or her dad.

So this was my idea:
Chrysallis (I know I did not spell that right. I'm, too lazy to look it up) makes a threat in against Celestia's kingdom. At the same time, there's trouble brewing in Aphrodite's kingdom. (You guys can decide what if you' like) My idea was that Cadence's uncle, Mars, was off waging war and Aphrodite had to go deal with it. In fact, I had this whole idea that there was a Death Alicorn that Mars was always trying to destroy, but Aphrodite had to stop Mars every time he went after her (I was going to name her Muerta, or something similar). The death Alicorn is vital to maintaining the balance of life in the MLP world. Aphrodite and her twin Gaia work together to bring new life to the world, and Muerta made way for new life by spiriting the old life to the dead Realms. So if Muerta was destroyed, life would be thrown out of balance. But the comic was never finished :/ I know some people have theorized that Cadence's mom is dead. If you want to make her dead, go for it Like I said, she's free to use however you want.

Some of Aphrodite's powers include making new life (she combines forces with Gaia for this). In my idea, Cadence doesn't have a dad. If your mom is the ponysonification of Fertility, does she really need a man to reproduce? Another power includes giving same sex pony couples the ability to have babies together! Go nuts with that one, you guys!

*edit: Somebody asked how many children does Aphrodite have? Well, I conceptualized Candence as her only baby, but maybe she can have more :3 if you want to make babies for her, you have the creative freedom to do so!
