I can't really see how it's obvious that unicorns are capable of telekinesis. I know, unicorns in most myths have magical probabilities, but it's usually that their blood and/or horn can be used to cure illness

Well, it's obvious to the Equestrians. I like the Turnabout Storm video/fanfic example, where infants know about how pegasi move clouds and unicorns use magic. The guy, who ended there assumed that clouds couldn't be specifically moved, and he was really surpised at the thought of active telekinesis and spells coming from unicorns.
