👠 History

"Even to this day, Octo Valley still has a bad rep. Ever since the Zapfish was stolen from Inkopolish YEARS ago. Aren't we over that yet? You squids got it back, right?"
That's what you get for depending your entire city on one steal-able creature.
"REALLY THOUGH, despite what they say, Octo Valley is a nice place. Lots of high places and nice views, the fog keeps out the heat most days because being sweaty is disgusting, and we have some sick DJ beats playing in every cafe you visit.
Wonder why I ended up in Rio Tokiyaki, the sweatiest city known to ink-kind......"

"Oh right, I'm getting ahead of myself. The middle stuff is all boring news, but they told me I have to include it to get my transport approved. Ummm...."

"So yeah, I grew up in Octo Valley. Had a pretty normal life there. A Mother and a....yeah a Dad somewhere out there. Or maybe not. He ran his own business, or like 4 of them, so we didn't see him that much. Does that count?
Pretty much from an early age, I really enjoyed dressing up. I liked watching my Mother get ready for all of Dad's fancy events, she even taught me how to do my makeup. The fashion in Octo Valley is the one thing I won't miss. Too much black, too much grunge, not enough colours. It's so dreary. Octarians aren't bad guys, so why do they dress like it? I'll never understand them...."

"I wanted to introduce good fashion to the Valley, but the more I tried, the more I realised everyone there just has really poor taste. It's like they were all allergic to style. A lost cause, that place was, couldn't even dress them for free. One day in class, the student I normally sat at the back with told me she planned to move to this island [Rio Tokiyaki] after graduation. I decided almost on the spot that I'd be joining her, I had to get out of here and somewhere that would appreciate my obvious talent. I'm glad I had a travel companion, it was a long journey and I had a lot of suitcases that needed carrying."
Where are the porters?!
"So here I am.
Wait, is that enough information now? Can I get off this rusty boat yet?"
