Description
YES!took me FOREVER but i finally finished!
it's GLaDOS from portal, using [link] design (you can find the template in his gallery as well)
i've never done anything like papercraft before, and let me tell you
it's HARD
and takes a long time
but so totally worth it!
i've yet to find a place to put it up, but i might put it in my brother's room, since he loves portal even more than i do
i hope to one day make the turret, but it's a lot more complex...
sorry for the poor quality, taken with my webcam in bad light... the red for the "eye" doesn't show well because my printer only prints in black and white so i had to color over it myself
now GO! MAKE ONE NOW!

That turned out really nice!
I've been meaning to try out paper craft for a while now, but haven't gotten around to it.

Sounds like your brother is a pirate. xD I can't say anything about that, though, considering my habits with music. But honestly, music downloads SHOULD be legal, considering that most of the profit from legit CD sales go straight to the record label instead of to the actual artist. If I could make one thing legal, it would be that. Definitely.
I really do want to play Portal though. It always looked really, really interesting and fun.

arg!
yeah... i download a lot of music, too, but a lot of it is free anyway or it's not on itunes so i can't get it anyway...
but if downloads were legal then artists would never make ANY money...
why would people buy the CD if they can get it for free?
it is! it kinda makes my head spin though...
(LOL i've never met anyone else that gets motion sick watching/playing first person video games...)

That's not true, actually. Downloads were legal years and years ago, and people still bought the CDs. Plus, I, for one, will buy CDs of bands that I really, truly like. Like, Breaking Benjamin. I will always, ALWAYS buy their CDs, because they are my favorite band and I know that I will like every song on there. But, like, for bands that only have one song that I like, or for things like the Pokemon Theme Song, I just want to download. And I don't want to be sued for downloading the Pokemon Theme Song, because that's just ridiculous.
Plus, they barely make any money as is. I mean, check it: you buy a CD for ten dollars. The band gets two cents. The record label gets nine dollars and ninety-eight cents. How is that fair to the band at all? Because of that system, there have been bands - I think the band Tool was one of them - that TOLD their fans to download their music. There's also an underground rap artist - who's rap is NOT gangsta/main stream rap in the SLIGHTEST, which is why I like him - that has a song out called "Download This Song." It has a lot of true facts in it, too. Give it a listen: [link]

I really like MC Lars' stuff. He also has a song called "iGeneration" which I think is very true. Especially this part:
"The Berlin Wall fell and out we came,
The post-Cold War kids laid claim to AIM.
"LOL," "OMG," yo "BRB,"
Space, colon, dash, closed parenthesis.
We sat at our laptops and typed away,
And found that we each had something to say.
Web-logged our fears, our hopes and dreams,
Individuated by digital means."
Then there's also a song he has about Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven," one about Moby Dick, one about emo bands and one about having the roommate from hell.
