Description
Finally....I finished. I have been working with this for awhile now, probably 20-25 hours total. And the reason why it took so long is I have been experimenting constantly on how to do vehicles in 3ds max and I wasn't going to submit anything until I got it right. So ya, I am happy how it turned out, I think I could of done better with the materials though, but o well.
All models done on 3ds max, final postwork done on photoshop.

I love this car everytime i look at it, did you do point by point modeling, or box modelling?

i started out with two half and flat cylinder objects. Started out in the rim area of the car, and gradually just added geometery by just dupilicating or connecting the polygons. I gradually made half of the vehicle and once i got half the vehicle finished, I used symmetry or mirror object to complete the other half and then merge them together.

I think the grille area is a bit large (On the actual mustang, it's not as tall), but otherwise this is pretty darn cool.

all it takes is loads of reference images lol, for my first car I took along time at it though, 90% of my time on this piece was basically trying to model the damn thing

great work bro. how did you do the sparks? did you take a lot of inspiration from the common burnout render from a couple years back?

the sparks were simple, all i did is just type sparks on google, found an image with a very dark background with the sparks effect and just added a overlay or lighten (i think) to the image. Then I edited it a bit by digital painting it a bit.
My inspiration actually came from that movie death race, movie was ok but I loved the carnage and mayhem with vehicles
and thanks pom

actually, he's being conservative. Tronix is really a god among us mere mortals. He walks among us from time to time, and every now and again, feels the uncontrollable need to show off.
I love it, and as usual, you never cease to impress. My ONLY issue, and its a small one in the grand scheme, is the road doesnt look very 'road like'. Kinda looks more like slick glass. Needs more 'roughage'.

lolz o logan you know me too well
but ya I know what you mean about the road too, I thought of making a rough road, but making the "rough road" material in 3ds max was complicated to go for but ya i could of done better.
anyway thanks
