Description
we are so lonely.upd: the models are ~Mashastik and ~Narenn
it made me very sad to realize that people
don't even see the difference between me and my models.
even if we look completely different they ask "is that you?
did you change your hair color/made plastic surgery/
changed bodies with your friend?"
even if there is a half of a girl in the background,
they ask "is that Vla?".
no one got the idea of the picture.
no one asked of the title. why it was named like that.
everyone is curious who the models are.
that is... disgusting.
and yes. there IS milk in the tube.
that is the main part of the concept.
...
I have nothing else to say and
I'm not sure if I'll be wishing to tell you anything
in the future.
I'm sorry I wasted our time.

Absolutely agree.People watch photos to say if the model is pretty or not,if she wears nice clothes,if she had strange haircolours.
Somebody put in their galleries only photos of himself just like a myspace site,to make people see that they are so pretty. Is it Art?
Of course not.It is a bit sad.But i think that many people doesn't understand the meaning of the photo. And it's a pity...

well, i was honestly wondering why the title was cry-over and why there was milk in the tub. it was quite obvious to me that it wasn't you there but i am currently thinking of the meaning of the photo. sorry if this comment is a bit late ;] to mean it seems a bit related to comfort about something but i usually think of random suggestions that seem to come to me.

it's sad that no one has really tried to find out about your picture.
to me, it is both cold and warm at the same time. the colours and harshness of the straight lines make it a cold and sad place to be, and the stripes make it like a prison. the reflections on the walls make it look clean and small. but the curves in the bath tub make it look softer, and slightly warm. the angles you have used make me feel like an outsider, like i'm looking in on soemthing i shouldn't or wouldn't want to see. i don't quite know what it is though...
thank you for keeping these up, and i hope people can begin to look more at the art of your work than the models.

This is the coolest and the best shot I've probably ever seen on this site as a conceptual piece! But I'm so dense that I read your description at least five times over until I got the message!

the first thing that came to my mind was 'what an unusual title' and i was going to ask about it and then i read the description.
could i still ask the meaning of the title? if you've aleady answered this im sorry but i have not been through all the comments.

wow. it is sick how kids here completely screw over the whole concept of artwork here.
I tend to question what actually goes through their minds when looking at a conceptual piece, such as this one....
Lovely photo, by the way.

In my opinion, one of your best pieces.
But I'd love to know YOUR sense of this pic.
Because, as every picture, everyone can see it's own sense in it.
But what is YOURS? Maybe you could explain me? I'm curious. I want to understand.

Very interesting concept.
That is, if I am interpreting it in the way you, as the photographer, intended.
The clothing is very pleasing to the eye and compliments the rest of the shot.
Nice work.

I'm sorry people are jerks. Often I get the opposite of this, I put that the model is me in the comment and get a ton of 'ooh is that you you're pretty' comments. Whoop-te-fuckin'-do if I am pretty that's not the point of the damn picture.

I thought I'd left a comment on this but I guess I didn't! Shame on me.
I absolutely love the angle on this, NO idea how you got it but it's awesome you did.
Their surroundings also work well with the whole "Don't cry over spilt milk" theme, I have no idea why but the fact of where they are is enough to make it a little more powerful.
Love the model's clothing, be it part of the metaphor or not it's just intruiging in such an environment.
Also, I really like the floor. Don't know why I noticed it but it sets off the cleanliness of the rest of it I suppose.

it may be a little late for me to comment on this dedivation.
I like the shot partly from how it looks. I like the angle, i like the light (though could be better), i like the way boths of them are dressed the same with the slightly difference that the standing person is half naked, i like the feeling of abadon the girl has. Like if she feels her lover/friend/whatever so distant though it's right there.
I have many points of view on these. I have thought of provers while watching it, i have tried to give every little thing a meaning as to comprehend the photo more. Thought of asking you, too, why the milk? why not water? why cry-over? But then again, i didnt.
Since i've watched you i've never commented on your work, but that doesnt mean i dont think about it. It would be a shame if you left DA, but i guess it's your choice to make.
Thank you for sharing this

you're complety right...
who the models are doesn't matter its the concept, the picture and the details that matter.
people who don't get this "idea" are not worhty of saying that they are artists.(that's my opinion)
and that they don't even listen to you is even more stupid(we all learned to read i hope!)
its a beautifull photo...
keep up the good work

The low lighting here is what really makes the photo work, I think. It has this sort of poloroid feel that lends a strong sense of reality to it. Beyond that, I love how you chose to frame it. It seems rough but the fact that were looking down on Narren and the other model is cut off from the waste up also adds a lot to the effect. That and you can never go wrong with stripes. Good work.

It's funny how everyone starts to suck up and suddenly declare, "OH YES! I AGREE WITH YOU! I DON'T GIVE A $#!@ ABOUT THE MODELS (anymore) !"
So you're indifference concerning artist-commentor interaction is reasonable.
However that is an interesting camera angle, and I can't help but wonder how you managed that, seeing as you couldn't have balanced on the edge of the tub.
