Description
Most recently the GIGN (short for Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale) gained fame for solving the Paris Charlie Hebdo hostage crisis in France, together with several other units of the French armed forces and other police units. The GIGN is one of the few spec-ops units in the world which also conducts police operations (although they are a military branch unit). The operator shown here is carrying the FN P90 sub-machinegun with a Gemtech G5 surpressor.
The other famous gun used by this unit is the FAMAS assault rifle (which I wanted to reserve for the French military in my series.)
The French GIGN was one of the many counter-terrorist forces in Europe which were formed shortly after the 1972 Summer Olympics, which saw several Isareli athletes killed after a multi-hour hostage situation, which the (then uncapable and untrained for these kind of special situations) German police forced failed to resolve.

I was actually gonna try and stay with military forces for good.
As mentioned in the description, that's what the GIGN is - a branch of the French Armed Forces.
SWAT teams are usually part of the Police force.
Maybe some other time though, since Germany has a really nice one with the GSG 9 as well

I need to explain myself. I just received this link youtu.be/lNcAhSvKhqQ from my close friend, who just finished works with his last game (RB6 Siege). He is concept artist there and these troopers (shown in movie) are drawed by him. That's all - funny coincident . So if Your passion are spec opps military unit don't forget about GROM www.grom.wp.mil.pl/en/index.htβ¦

Oh, that's quite interesting.
Was trying to get into the Alpha, but didn't receive any key unfortunately - maybe you can put in a good word for me, haha
As to the Polish GROM - it's already on my list - Currently got the British SAS upcoming and will look into the GROM for the next one.
As in regard to this project - been thinking about it for a while, but always lacked the gear/equipment I needed to bring it into existence.
Finally got things set into motion, so let's see for how far it will carry on
Thanks for the input!
