She'd probably have to be. If not, Sega will step in again. Like when Ken Penders tried to kill of Sally in Endgame, Sega stepped in and stopped him.

I seriously doubt Sega will step in this time.

Princess Sally is not one of their golden cast.

I'm expecting Ian to have Eggman blast her to bits with a missile or rocket by 250 like he did with Tommy Turtle.

It's just too obvious that's going to her ultimate fate due to Archie Sonic's vile hatred of her.

Here's the thing, though. Sally is one of the fan favorites of the Archie characters, and has been that way for years. That's why Sega stepped in that first time, because there were too many fans. Think about this, Sally was just filler when the King got sick, nothing else, which is why Ken wanted to kill her off in Endgame, because the King had recovered, thus making her, in simpler terms.

I may get hate off of this, but Ian has treated the Archie characters with more respect than the original writers did. Before Ian came along, Sally was slowly becoming a self-centered, selfish Mary-Sue. You only need to look at issue 134 to notice that.

This is from Ian's recent DA journal.

"The best comparison I can make (without totally spoiling the entire ride) is to the original Star War trilogy. In "Empire Strikes Back," Han is captured, Cloud City has been occupied by the Empire, Luke's been maimed and had his faith shattered, and the Rebellion has done pretty much nothing but lose for the entire movie. If it had ended there, I'd imagine there'd be some outcry - but it didn't. Fans of the series had faith in their heroes and believed that, somehow, they'd come back from all that. Likewise, the comic isn't stopping anytime soon. I'm doing my best to throw the heroes from the comfort zone they've lingered in for 250+ issues. Have a little faith that Mobius's greatest heroes can endure."

Actually, Ian has treated only a couple of the Satam/Archie characters with respect in my honest estimation.

Such as Fiona and Bunnie for example.

Have you noticed how easy he goes on them in all the issues they're in?

The worst thing he did to Fiona was having her get a punch to the gut.

And Bunnie? Well, she was crystallized. But again, it was only for one issue and then got deroboticized.

Of the original Sonic Satam cast, she suffered the least amount of harm physically.

And I know exactly why he did that. Ian has a soft spot for these two. He even went easy on them for the most part in his horrid Other-M fan comic.

Sally on the other hand...

I personally believe Ian wants Sally gone from the story permanently, and in the most painful of ways possible. He even admitted on his forum he ONLY rebuilt Sally's character just so her fall would that much more dramatic.

And what I find completely laughable, even a bit sad I hate to say, is there are those who will keep claiming to me, "Ian doesn't hate Sally. Stop slandering him."

Sorry, but I do not buy that one bit. His actions towards her is 100X more important to me than what he says about her.

So let's see, in his run when making comics with Sally in it. He's had her...

A. shot in the head by an evil Tails in Other-M, then completely forgotten, while the others weren't.

B. Reduced her to a boring, E.F Hutton diplomat who can always make fighting people settle down when that's not always possible for the most part.

C. Had her point mostly to her comrades during conflicts rather than actually fight herself to further make her a useless Freedom Fighter.

D. Blasted to bits in 225 and then disrespectfully joked about it later on.

E. Undid the 225 fate just to have her ridiculously accept being roboticized instead of looking for any other alternatives.

F. Had Eggman cut her metal body to pieces with a blowtorch and did it in the most disgusting and repulsive way possible.

G. Had Sonic joke with her about being the better looking robot while fighting her in 236 without a hint of emotional distress in his body language.

You know, if this was a court case, I think this evidence would be more than enough to prove my point. Ian and the Archie Sonic staff hate Sally's guts, but they'll never admit it because it would cause a mass backlash among her fanbase, as well as other Sonic fans as well.

That and the fact they know she has a large fanbase who reads the comic because of her.

The only thing that would shoot this theory down of mine, and I admit it's a theory at best since I cannot 100% prove this, is not only have Sally restored, but twice as good as before.

Having her just restored is not enough consolidation considering all the crap Ian's put her through.

But you know, I don't expect either to happen. I really don't.

What I do expect to happen is...

A. Sally's metal body is destroyed with a missile by Eggman during the climax of 250.

B. Sally is AGAIN an emotional trainwreck after realizing what happened to her and what Eggman had her do. :

I'm sadly going with the Option A. This is what Ian would love to do to one of his most hated characters he has free reign with.

So yea... anyway, for those who disagree with me on this, I really don't care. Feel free to. You think whatever you want.

This is basically my opinion and until further evidence, I'm sticking by it.
