Перевод отличный, только потерян глагол в последнем предложении: Your prediction ... is too foggy.
У меня как всегда свой вариант, если пригодится: But your prediction about us getting married to confuse persecutors is too foggy.
И еще я сейчас проверила одно подозрение - resignation это очень солидно, это отставка кабинета, правительства. А для военного достаточно retirement.
