Appearance

Mari is a girl of average height where she is from, light tan skin from being outside for long periods of time, slender build with bear claw marks going down her spine. Her eyes are large and circular, their irises are a cyber yellow with thin upper eyelashes, two small lower and one long protruding at the side. Short faded rose pink apple like bob curving outwards with two ahoges pointing left and right with bangs between her eyes and two parts swept to the side and covering her ears.

During school hours Mari wears a waistcoat instead of the blazer and a sleeveless shirt . Mari also wears a bow tie instead of the tie, a noticeably shorter skirt and pink converses with flowers on them and white ankle socks.

Her hero costume is a two pice outfit with raspberry red tulip like glasses, grey green vest with darker grey green symbols and gold on the openings, an opening at the back to expose it, pink shoulder-less sleeves with grey green forearm, the upper part of the green is open to expose her skin. The bottom part of her hero costume are grey green shorts with the gold around the openings and a pink transparent cape coming out of the shorts. With two inch heels made out of Australian Buloke wood and having holes in the toe and heal of the shoes.

Personality

Mari is a very motherly figure to her pears and family, after her mothers death she took the role of the mother in the family even after her father remarried, she wanted to protect and provide for anyone that needs it. She’s very compassionate for people she cares about and will defend anyone to the end. Mari will put herself on the front line when it comes to life or death, Mari is brave but not fearless but everyone sees the fearless side so they can feel safe with her.

Mari is very friendly when it comes to anyone she meets even becoming good friends with all of class 1-A and half of 1-B.
She is the most sociable and energetic student in 1-A, she knows how to cheer up anyone even if there as stubborn as Bakugou she’ll try her best even getting to be one of Aizawa’s favourite students. She has a kind and gentle heart for anyone who needs it.
Mari has great loyalty for her friends and is honest to her pears, if something she doesn’t think is right she will speak her mind to the person.

When coming to saving people and being a hero she becomes serious that it’s scary, when she knows something isn’t right she will stop it no mater what it costs. Mari cares for people and looks forward to saving the people that can’t fend for themselves not for money but to inspire young people to become heroes. Mari will risk her own life for who needs it no mater what even if she has a family and kids.

History

Mari lived in a small village far west of Tromsø named Lanavine, many of the people there were born without a quirk or had very weak or wired quirks. Mari’s mother died of cancer when she was five, after her mothers death she wanted to name her quirk after hers in memory, once becoming six she took on the mantle of being the mother to her household, cleaning, cooking and taking care of her older brothers and father. When she was eight Mari’s father remarried Louise and Mari and the rest of her siblings adored her. When Mari was three-teen there was an attack of wild bears from the northern parts of her village and spontaneously stared to attack them, no one in her village was physically strong or had a strong quirk so she took on the mantle and keep her home safe. Before the bears could strike Mari made a big dome like structures made of Australian Buloke wood all around the village digging roots deep into the ground and detached the roots, bears tried to claw through the dome and into the village but failed. Growing vines out of her body and picked up the bears and either thrown or killed. After thinking the bears were gone she had taken down the dome, after she took down the dome a bear clawed her right over her upper part of her spine to her lower back and once she realized what happened she turned her arm into a sharp wooden stake and stabbed the bears chest and crawled out from under the bears limp body. Mari crawled to her family and the village praised her for saving them, it took many months for her back to heal up without any pain. Once she had gotten better all the villagers and her family wanted her to join U.A and become a pro hero and help people in need. It had taken a while for the whole village to save up money and by her a plane ticket but they did and on her sixteenth birthday they sent her to Japan to get into U.A.

Relationships

Family:
Mari has always had a strong bond with her family, trying to protect them while she’s the youngest in her family.

Gunner Voksende: Mari loves her farther with all her heart and always cared for him when he was sick. After her mothers death she and Gunner’s bond hade grown stronger, he would always be working for his family while Mari would care for him after fourteen hours of work just to keep food on the table.

Louise Voksende: When the family first meet her the boys didn’t like her but Mari loved her, Louise and Mari were very alike when coming to family. After Gunner married Louise the boys got more used to her.

Juni Voksende: Mari loved her mother with all her heart, once she found out her quirk she instantly wanted to have the same quirk as her mother because to her Juni was even stronger than All Might. After her mother died Mari never acted like herself before Juni’s death, out of the family she took it the hardest she wouldn’t eat or sleep but after she meet Louise she thought that Juni came back to life.

Brothers: Mari loves all of her older brothers equally, even after fights she still loves them. Out of all the siblings Mari acted like the oldest even though she’s the youngest. Out of the siblings the one she hanged out with the most is Jarl, Mari and Jarl where never seen far apart from each other, Mari will always protect her older twin even if he’s older.

Friends: Mari can easily become friends with anyone after meeting them.
Ochaco Uraraka: Mari and Ochaco get along really well, they are both bubbly and kind hearted girls that have a similar goal for there families.
Toru Hagakure: Same as Ochaco Mari and Toru are bubbly girls that are expressive when it comes to things they like.
Shouto Todoroki: Mari and Shouto get along well while Mari try’s to bring out of his shell and become more friendly with others. Shouto finds Mari quite charming and kind to him.
Pony Tsunotori: Mari and Pony get along well, seen speaking English to her and helping her with learning more Japanese.

Petero: Petero and Mari get along well, Mari’s kindhearted personality and Petero’s shy demeanor blends well together with Mari speaking for Petero instead of him having to.
Ahmya: Mari and Ahmya have a good relationship, both of them being the motherly figures in there families and hard working fathers. Ahmya didn’t want Mari to be her friend at first but after Mari saved her from a three pointer in the entrance exam Ahmya saw the potential in her and became her friend.

Shouto Todoroki: Mari took a liking to Shouto from when she first meet eyes with him, thinking he was the most handsome boy she has ever meet. When Mari found out he was in the same class as him she wanted to become friends with him.
Odayaka Aikoy: When Mari first meet her she feel head over heels for her and thinking she could be a real princess. Mari always showered her with complements which Odayaka liked but didn’t want to show it so she acted like she didn’t like Mari. (Cough tsundere chough-)

Over all Abilities: Mari has been shown to be a good fighter when in combat and can easily over power some students with prestiges intellect and skill, despite her not knowing much fighting skills she has shown that her belief in herself that she can do it. Mari has a very proficient handle on her quirk and knows how she can use it, knowing what to use and how to use the plants in a battle with defence and offence to help her and her team mates. Mari’s fairly reflexive when using her quirk, she can grow multiple plants on her body and protect her and others bodies.

Shoes are made of Australian Buloke wood and has openings at the toe and heel to plant herself if needed

Facts/Trivia
Mari’s name is seen as a cognate of “Mary” in Norwegian, in Japanese it could also mean Jasmine, Hemp, Village, White Jasmine and Love. Voksende means growing in Norwegian.

Mari was tide with Ibara at 4th during the entrance exam but they put Mari in 1-A because she has more “options” than Ibara

Mari’s favourite food is Lingonberries

The plants on her body will change due to her emotions and health status, when happy plants on her body will start to bloom, sleeping or at night will make the the flowers on her body will close up, being sick or dying the plants will wilt, when sad plants will flop over.
Mari’s body is literally a plant, her blood contains the chemical chlorophyll making her blood permanently green(which freaks people out when she shows them) and has a second stomach just for photosynthesis.

Mari is know as the most beautiful girl in U.A. because of her nationality(Norwegian girls are really beautiful) so lots of guys try to ask her out

Made of crystalline silicon to attract the suns energy to energize herself(and yes she can see)
Aristea Armour:

The green armour is made of a silicone shell and laced with sodium chloride and underneath is made of Kevlar.
The pink sleeves and cape are made of polyester fabric.(the cape has no use, just to look cute)
Australian Buloke Wood:

Shoes are made of Australian Buloke wood and has openings at the toe and heel to plant herself if needed

Mari’s name is seen as a cognate of “Mary” in Norwegian, in Japanese it could also mean Jasmine, Hemp, Village, White Jasmine and Love. Voksende means growing in Norwegian.

Mari was tide with Ibara at 4th during the entrance exam but they put Mari in 1-A because she has more “options” than Ibara

Mari’s favourite food is Lingonberries

The plants on her body will change due to her emotions and health status, when happy plants on her body will start to bloom, sleeping or at night will make the the flowers on her body will close up, being sick or dying the plants will wilt, when sad plants will flop over.
Mari’s body is literally a plant, her blood contains the chemical chlorophyll making her blood permanently green(which freaks people out when she shows them) and has a second stomach just for photosynthesis.
