Description
My variations of the flame posted in his journal for tweaking this week. [link] <I had a lot of fun with this.
It was a hard flame to tweak at first but once I found something interesting it just kept throwing even more interesting stuff. I had a REALLY hard time choosing which one to put here, that's why there are 6 of them.
Anyway, in the spirit of the challenge, here are the flame parameters (sorry this is going to be long!):
TOP LEFT
TOP RIGHT
MIDDLE LEFT
MIDDLE RIGHT
BOTTOM LEFT
BOTTOM RIGHT
By all means have some fun with those.
Comments/thoughts/etc. appreciated.
You will need to adjust the gradient to see them properly in apophysis, select the right gradient in apo, and also a lot of them will need to have the gradient brightness toned down a bit (or a lot!) so they don't look like a mass of hot spots.

Really awesome stuff! I have been looking for some parameters like this to study and learn from. These types of flames are the ones that really catch my eye and I haven't quite been able to master them. Thanks for posting...I promise not to try to pass these off as my own, of course, but if I find a neat tweak, I will let you know

Thanks, hope you find it useful. If you're looking to do this kind of stuff consistently just play around with mostly linear and a little spherical, you can get basic shapes with 2 transforms.

I love the variations you were able to discover. I played with it too, but I didn't come up with anything anywhere near as gorgeous as yours are. Excellent work!

I didn't know what dichroic glass was so I had to look it up. Thanks for teaching me something new, and I agree that it has a similar look.
Thanks for the comment too.
