Very nice! Lets break this down.
I prefer sci-fi that looks lived in and believable, like technology is just as common as cars and appliances are now. The "newness" is gone and humans are adapted, so for that reason, I really like this style art like youve got going here.
The room looks believable and fits that idea, there are updated but ever present items like stereos, wall paintings (which fit the theme) and the aesthetics of the room and the items designs look like they belong.
The tattoos remind me of the concept art for Elysium, but I dig it, they look modern for where he is, as does the haircut. Even the little plugs/jacks etc fit well as does the simple but stylish belt.
The girl is a nice touch and sets a scene up; "post love making cigarette" is what I got from it - which is an intrinsically human concept thats been around since cigarettes came out lol, it works! I think it makes the work identifiable to your audience, because its an understandable idea whether you have experience in it or not, you can still understand the situation. An alternative interpretation is a morning drag before the day begins, I could see that too. Prepping before the girl has woken up, just some alone time for a maan and his thoughts. Something I like is that white dry erase board, or at least I thin kit is, it seems a funny but interesting touch.
So to the actual technical side: The lighting is really good IMO. The rougher brush texture across the light beams gives a great impression of particles floating in the air, noticed only in the light, which is a good touch. The beams themselves look believable and cast light in the right way and the right places, darkening the areas around the edges (even artificially) and lighting the wall and particularly the headboard, which has a nice strong and even sun kissed reddish edging to it, which is quite well done! The reflections through and on the hair are good too, having that lighter blue gives the hair the right look of a cool black and the light is neutral, changed by what it hits. A smaller thing i like is that shadow outside the window slits, it looks like the looming shape of a shuttle to me, and gives me ideas of an apartment in some sprawling city, yet the inside, our little room, is quiet. Laptop open on the bed is nice, is the screen cracked I think? lol
The colors are good, a nice mix of overall warm with some cooler shades, the dark top leaves the perfect spot for a book title, and the warmer, brighter middle draws the eyes perfectly across the beams to the girl on the bed, positioned so that following her curve leads directly to the man, who is the centerpiece but not so much its all you see, or necessarily what you focus on right away. There are nice distractions and details scattered about with just the right touch of lighting to let you look around without drawing the eyes away too much. The smoke is also really good, the way it whirls and coils is nice and gives some atmosphere to an otherwise empty "space". Theres a little much for one cigarette I think, but the tray is full, and one could imagine he may have had a few already. Who knows!?
The only areas a bit muddled is behind his head up against the wall, a little rougher and not as easy to pick out for me. But not enough I am bothered, mostly I just dont like the sloppiness on his pants, there are so many areas that have higher precision and cleaner lines that it seems a shame not to render that out a bit more, although it doesnt ruin the image by any means.
Overall a very well done piece, it has good composition, nice detail, and a good selection of colors. Thanks for sharing with us!

I am just in awe at all the small details that most people taken for granted: the reflection of the laptop screen, the intricate tattoos, the sunlight pouring through the blinds, even the picture on the wall! Phenomenal detail!

Love the artwork, but wondering if the lettering isn't a bit on the tiny size to properly show on an Amazon thumbnail. They can get as small as 100 px high.

You should, I've finished it and the expansion pack 2 times.
It's a quality game with a deep story that's worth anyone's time who has an interest in science fiction.
You might even find inspiration from it.
