I decided to try concepting an animal out of the blue. No references or guidelines, just...draw. So I kept it simple with a dragon/lizard/dinosaur. So what would you name it? Not a personal name but species.Related content

More anatomy study you need.
And work with refferences. You will learn faster.

That's why I didn't try going overboard with abundant muscles or crazy head anatomies. Before I try designing odd anatomies I do need to study existing anatomy. It's interesting how most animals on Earth has a set pattern in their bone structure.

Haha, wow, it's been so long that I've gone through my DevWatch! To be honest, I can't believe how much you've improved since you first starting drawing dragons. I mean, you were never bad, but your anatomy and foreshortening had always been awkward. It's cool to see you've found a comfortable style to work with and that you seem to be good at it too! I think this is a really cool dragon design as well! Great job on this, Tsitra!

maybe a name for the race... i did think at a raptor as i looked on the right drawing.. so raptor milvus would i say

This is a really cool Concept. I love how it can stand on it's hind legs, but appears to be able to walk around on all four. I could imagine him or her in a mountain or plains environment.
