Description
Edit: OMG, A DDEdit 2: If you are using 7x, instead of inputting the locations manually, just base the locations of the transforms on the screenshots. Something about the way the program recognizes locations changed with this new one.
I promise I'll reply to all the fav's and comments later tonight I don't want to forget anyone
Oh, and I don't know who hit print request, but I won't make this image available for it. I'll make the actual fractal which is titled Storm (same image) available for it instead. Thank you for the interest
The download includes a 75 page tutorial on how to make four different fractals. Its really detailed and I've spent the past two weeks writing it.
Its mostly pictures though so don't worry about a long reading.
I really hope you guys enjoy this, I've never put this much work into anything.
The download also includes a pack of 100 gradients, and a .flame file of the contents of this tutorial.
For quick navigation of the tutorial I have included a contents page, simply click on the listing of the area you wish to view. The .pdf will automatically take you to the area.

Are some of the pics in the .pdf in different formats?
like .png and .jpg and or .bmp
I made an HTML version of this (for my own use) with a compiler but some of the pics come out blank, just wondering if it's a problem with file types in my program.

I think its a mixture of .jpeg and .png I think lol
I could provide you with the .doc file it was before I converted it if you want to play with that

cool, send it to fracfx@yahoo.com if you would
I'm thinking it has a problem with the .png files, it's usually the ones that say "this is what is should look like so far..." but it's blank, the ones taken of the editor all show up as well as most the examples

Okay, but its a really big file, like 33MB lol. I'll send it but it'll take some time to upload it, I'm going to place it on sendspace because I don't think attachments allow files that big

Yeap, two weeks to write the tutorial.
Thanks
The image though, not so long. The progression to making that image though was a long path of experimenting for over a month.

Cool stuff! I have Incendia but its like a minefield, and really takes a long time to see any results. I've yet to get even a simple one to finish. I don't know whether its because I'm using a laptop or what. I've had success with Fractal Explorer,FracGen and FracTint in the past but not sure if those support Vista

Thank you
I know Incendia takes forever literally to render lol I have a laptop as well so I know the feeling
I know for sure that Fractal Explorer works on Vista because I've been using it on Vista Works like a charm
I haven't tried the other two though.

Ah i meant Fractal Explorer but I found it myself, and have uploaded some new fractals made with it! FE isn't how I remember it,somethi's different about it! I do have the Apophysis link somewhere but I need to get something useable out of Incendia first.

Did you not download the formula library?
That gives you a lot more stuff to mess with if I'm remembering correctly.

Nope, for Fractal Explorer.
Its on the same page as the program download.

Oh sorry no i must have missed that! I find the new version of FE very limiting compared to how I remember it! My pic 'Re entry' was done with an earlier version on XP but I can't find a way to do stuff like that with the current version!

o.O
New version? It hasn't been updated since 2005 o.O
[link]
Once there, go ctrl + f for Fractal Landscapes Library and User Formula Compiler.
Once you download those make a new folder and throw them in there with Fractal Explorer it should be not so limited afterwards

I wonder if its becase its on vista? You see I have it on the PC which runs XP, but it is out of action at the moment so I'm using the laptop which runs vista!
I pressed Ctrl F and got a library, but when I clicked on one I got this:
Unable to compile the formula: Formula Compiler not found !
Please, check for those files:
COMPLEX.PAS, MAKE.PIF, DCC32.EXE, RLINK32.DLL,
MATH.DCU, SHAREMEM.DCU, SYSINIT.DCU, SYSTEM.DCU,
WINDOWS.DCU, SYSUTILS.DCU, SYSUTILS.INC
One or more files not found !!!
To get a Formula Compiler package, please, visit to:

Download and unzip it into Fractal Explorer's folder.
