Woah I feel accomplished. I did this in about two hours ... and I really like it! :3 This is for the summer art exchange, and I got . The reason I feel so productive is because I got my assignment this morning. >w<One of her suggestions was a jumpluff in a peaceful setting doing something summer-y. So if I were a jumpluff, what would I do? In summer, something I've always loved to do is to chase the sunset by the cliffs, but if you weigh next to nothing and can float away with the breeze, why not literally chase the setting sun? ^^ Being carried away by the cool wind would be heaven on a hot summer evening~ Hope you like your picture, secret-summer-santa-person! XD
Done in PS CS4, no custom brushes used.

Oh, and I have a question about your eevee ... are her eyes the specific rainbow colors you put in the ref or can they be any rainbow swirly colors?

I saw the pic and it was amazing! I basically found a pic of rainbow colors online and put it in the ref so the eyes weren't actually like that but after the way you did them in the picture they're totally gonna be from now on! *squeals and runs in circles* It was AMAZING *dies*

They didn't turn out creepy at all (luckily) in fact I'm thinking it could be seen as an outward sign that something's different about her, since the gem on her forehead is usually covered up from view

Ah, indeed. People in real life don't believe that I have rainbow eyes until they get close enough to really look in my eyes. One girl refuses to believe it and keeps insisting that they're green, without ever actually looking into them. Though the swirly eyes weren't quite what I'd intended when I put the swirled rainbow in the box to show the eye color, they certainly make eevme look all the more awesome! Originally I was just gonna color them to be like the way they are in real life for me:
(starting from white of the eye in to the pupil)
Dar blue outer rim
Lighter blue, like water, band
Green band
Yellow band
Tiny orange line where the-
Red half-band near the part of the eye that's near the side of my face on both sides, oppositely
Gray/Purple band
Black Pupil
Whenever someone in RL asks what my eye color is, I always tell them rainbow. Those who don't ask either assume they're dark blue, green, or gray. Those who do ask tend to get up close in my face to verify it xD The funniest time was this one time where this one girl asked what color my eyes were, and I told her, and she went "NO WAY!" and grabbed my head and pulled it in her face. I was surprised so I didn't say anything but my eyes of course widened. And she looked in critically for a minute and then pulled away and said "OMG! GUYS, YOU'VE GOTTA COME SEE THIS!!!" xD
So indeed, I'm a person with rainbow eyes. Fo'realz. Though not quite as swirly as in that picture, though my eeveesona will always have eyes like the ones you designed now!

O___O TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR EYE! I WANNA SEEE!!!!! My eyes are the kind that reflect off things sometimes, so they're kinda gray-blue, but they look more green if I wear green, more purple if I wear purple ... you know. BUT RAINBOW!?!?! I have see yellow, reflect-o, speckled, and tree-stump eyes, but never rainbow. I. WANT. TO. SEE.
Ah, but now that you've specified the rainbow ness, I could always try making her eye that way next picture I draw of her ('cause I know I will XD) ... whatever you want!

My sister did once but she erased it. I don't have a camera but one day when I do have one I'll take a pic and put it up on here for you and everyone to see so I can prove they're real ^^
I'm glad you at least believe me about 'em though! The girl I told you about who dismissed them without looking, sits next to me every day in class and refuses to look closely at them >.< Though I gotta say I'm glad she didn't grab my face like the other one xD
You could try it out but I love the way they look so swirly the way you drew them *.* It makes her look even more different from other eevees ^^

Surprisingly, I was going to be a stubborn eevee-only artist, but I joined an art exchange and the person asked for jumpluff ... my eevee streak has been shattered! XP jk

You did great on your first non-Eevee pic. Perhaps maybe you could draw Milotic or Gardevoir (they're the prettiest ones).
Of course, nothing beats your cute Eevee pics!

Actually, one of her other suggestions was a gardevoir (and I just looked up milotic because I'd never heard of that one before ... pretty~), so if I get good feedback from her on this one, I may feel like making her a second one with gardevoir.

Haha, the only game I played was Gold (and who knows how long ago that was ... Espeon and Umbreon were new then). I used to watch pokemon more than play it when I was a kid, so since I haven't been watching, I'm not familiar with most of the ones past johto-ish. XP Well, I would probably have fun drawing her (very pretty pokemon), so I'm hoping the person likes this one~ :3
