HEY LOOK! Something I drew that's not cute! XDI LOVE THIS PICTURE. Tis a gift for ~Kairi24 of her fursona's dark form, which I've always wanted to try drawing. :3 This took me so many hours because I wanted to experiment with fur (that, and whenever I'd finish a small section of it that I liked, I'd run around with my ipod in hyper little circles), and I feel pretty successful, but now I want to try more fur textures and such ... oi, actually I just wanna go to sleep.
I really hope you like this, ~Kairi24 , because being the awesome person you are, you deserve lots of gift art!

This is gonna be hard to critique n_n but i havent done one in a while, so ill try wit dis c|
Ill start with the cons cuz i have a few in mind ill forget by the end of this n_n
All i can reall see is the shading, it just needs to be a slight bit darker on more areas, below the chin, around the right of the mouth in the ear, etc etc
Light shading is good but doesnt work to well on linelesses from what ive seen
Besides that it's all i can see with cons in this picture,
Pros:
This is a really amazing picture n_n especially for a lineless, i could just imagine her (Him? :c) ripping me to shreds 8D...yes thats a good thing n_n
A little tip of mine, for making things look more evil, shade with a dark purple, it turns out really well, or just shade normally and then purple around the area your trying to show off
Vision ill give 5 stars, the picture is incredible, you can tell about the effort and everything you've put in~
Originality ill give 4 ive seen poses and such like this before, but you've managed to recreate it in your own way and made it look way more real
Technique is a 5,
Impact is 4.5 the shading was all that brought me back, darker shading and it will be perfect~<3

Heh, you know, if I hadn't put this in such a dark setting, the shading might be right, but I just realized that because of that, it does need to be darker. >w< It also helps more with the imaginary lines of linelessness, like you said. :3
And thank you so much! Don't worry, I wouldn't consider this pose incredibly original or anything (I used a reference and tweaked it anyway), but ooo, shading with purple ... that sounds like a great idea! I'll play around with that and see how it looks! ^^

I saw a comment on one of your earlier pieces where you told Kairi that she should be excited for her gift because it's amazing. So, I was super excited to see it. WELL...
IT IS. It's even more superamazingfantabulous than I expected. AND I HAD HIGH EXPECTATIONS RLY RLY. but this blows me away. I love the tongue too, the texture is amazing. AND AND AND the fur. It keeps coming back to the fur. I can't get over how soft and real it looks *pets her*

The fur that you did is amazing! And I am proud that you didnt draw soemthing cute, I mean, I LOVE your 'cute' drawings; But I am proud that you tried something a littel different...if that makes sense
This is weird to say...but I really like the tongue, the texture on it is fantastic and it looks very real. Its so amazing!

I really hate it when I conclude that i need to make a list of my art needs. Its like, I see it and usually its massive beyond belief, so then I get sad and feel overwhelmed, where as if its just in my head it doesnt seem as much...ya know?

Thats how I handle work. I look at the clock and say to myself: 5 hours left...-3-, But then I realize that I am working 9 that day and say to myself, well, 4 have already passed and they cant keep me here forever so 5 more hours and no more (: Then I am free! XD

i usually do traditional art (realism) and i am currently starting to do digital art, can you give me some pointers, or possible do a tutorial on how you do fur. thanks anyway <3

Oh wow, thank you! Heh, this is by far the first digital piece I've done that's this detailed, and I'm sure there are plenty of tutorials out there that can explain it better than I can, but the way I did it here were to make everything one color at the start, then take several colors similar to the base color (like for the purple, different shades that were a little lighter or darker) and draw fur-like lines over it in the direction the fur would be going. :3 It took quite a long time, but I'm happy with the outcome.
