name: Jin Ban (Jean Ban)
-15, Female
-born of a Chinese father and an American mother.
-from a young age she was convinced her father would have preferred a male child; to make up for this she dresses as a boy and tries hard to be the son her father wanted.
-her mother is named Janet, so she named her daughter 'Jean'. Her family and schoolmates pronounce Jean as 'Jin'.
-she started flying kites because it's a 'boy's thing' but developed a true love for it.
about her kite:
-the kite is based on the Jian , a pair of birds that each have only one eye and one wing, and depend on each other to live and are inseperable, which represent husband and wife.

I like to draw BGs in general, but this style for the buildings is really unfamiliar orzz I had to look at some ref and use a lot of texture >< but, thanks a lot for the comment!

It doesn't matter that it's not in the night. Kites can fly whenever and in the sunset, it really brings out the person hair and warmth. Besides, I like the kites in the night, creating stars, but in the sunset, they can really bring out colors that you can't see elsewhere.

another sunset lover, woot! I found that I liked how the red compliments the warm tones I had, so I decided to roll with it and then threw some gold in for fun. I couldn't think of a color that would mix with dark green... .-. though having some stars might have been nice.

True, it would have fit better with the theme of Knite, but I believe you're suits the light between the sun and night rather than the sun or night alone.
