name: Jin Ban (Jean Ban)
-15, Female
-born of a Chinese father and an American mother.
-from a young age she was convinced her father would have preferred a male child; to make up for this she dresses as a boy and tries hard to be the son her father wanted.
-her mother is named Janet, so she named her daughter 'Jean'. Her family and schoolmates pronounce Jean as 'Jin'.
-she started flying kites because it's a 'boy's thing' but developed a true love for it.
about her kite:
-the kite is based on the Jian , a pair of birds that each have only one eye and one wing, and depend on each other to live and are inseperable, which represent husband and wife.

I'm Chinese, and I just noticed a little mistake in your description regarding 半人 (half-human). In Chinese it's actually pronounced as "Ban Ren". In Japanese however it's "Han-nin", the "人" (human) word can also be read as "Jin". Hope you don't mind me sharing this with you. >______<

She looks really cool. I like the hair and eye color combination and her hair style and color are very pretty. The background was done very nicely, the textures and coloring look great and I love the kite~

well, it is brighter than most of the entries, but you had great taste coloring it and I think it's cool how it stands out and makes people want to watch the full size!

the color's fine..
mostly laptops give that dark color because of the screen.. maybe adjusting the lights on your screen can help.. if it is adjustable..
