Another shot from our recent trip to Mexico Beach, FL. I have a certain affinity for sunsets, but sunsets without clouds are somewhat boring, so I wanted to catch the wave action and the seagulls on the shore. These gulls seemed to be waiting for the sun to sink over the horizon so they could fly to where ever they roost for the night....Related content

From what I've seen and read, they like to roost on islands, as there are no predators that can sneak up on them while they sleep...
