I croped the heck out of this pic, FYI.Jake is trying to get Chance in to the water. The big tabby doesn't really want to, however, and it's going to take all Jake's got to get him off that rock.
(And I hate the rocks! DX)

It took a while to get the hang of how to do water. I looked up a lot of reference photos, and I spent hours just playing with the gimp trying to get the effect I wanted. I'm still not fully happy with how the water looks in my art, but it's not as bad as it was when I first started! I'd love to see some one else try doing water, if you do show me your results. ^_^

ah...i would try to reference through the graphics of new cgi movies and games, if u ever played Twilights princess, thats a good example of their water detail ^^

I used the Gimp program to paint the water. I studied lots of other computer painted water pictures and practiced a lot.

Aw, Chance looks adorable with his cute, hesitant face. And, I absolutely love how you handled the water - the ripples, the highlights, Jake's blurred reflection. The more I look at it the more wonderful little details I find.

I am coming to think I am one who arts in the Water Elliments. As Rocks, fire, and any sorrt of wind like arts are still beyond me yet. XD And it's funny, the more I look the more mistakes I find. lol

OH MY GOD see what happens when I leave the boards as long as I do I don't see brilliant art like this. Oh my god poor Chance, doesn't want to get his feet wet.
