I look at everyone suspiciously when I ride the metro since I saw the video of an ordinary looking asian man set himself on fire in a crowded train causing others to burn and die. Like why man? there are a lot of crazy people these days.

I am an atheist that grew in a Catholic family, and I never had those prejudices... Especially because I know prejudices are stupid. I have muslim friends, christian friends, atheist friends... What's the problem? We're all humans

I am Christian girl married to a Muslim man and I have to admit that before I met him I was like this too. I thought that all Muslim people (and Arabic people in general) were savages and ruffians. I'm so thankful I met my wonderful husband and made some amazing Muslim/Arabic friends. They really opened my eyes and I am ashamed of how I felt before (I mainly blame the media for this).
Keep up the good work and don't feel bad because of the way people think about you. They just don't know any better.
And one last thing: Girls with Hijab are beautiful !

A lot of people make me feel unconfortable staring at my hair and clothes too.
They just can't understand you're just being yourself.

Of course, you're right.. it's always annoying, when people stare at you.
However with a scarf... you know.. it's like they burden you with all their prejudices about Muslims, about all they have read and (what they think to) know about Islam. And it feels like they want you to justify yourself for all this stuff.

Unfortunately not every islamic country is the best solution. Here in Germany I'm more free to life my religion than in my homeland.. -.-
You know, it's not that worse in Germany, there are just some small things, like having more problems with finding a job then a German - however it isn't impossible in no way!

Well here are living many foreign muslims, but alhamdulillah we have also around 400 or maybe more czech muslim converts. Most of them are women, but men are converting to Islam too here alhamdulillah.
