I am having a little Hiatus from astronomy at the moment, but rest assured I will be back up and running shortly. I have recently purchased new CCD camera as well, although that is now back with the manufacturer for repair due to problems with the shutter mechanism.

Anyway, to this image here: I have taken a trip to Santorini, Greece, and this is one of my favourite shots which features its world-famous sunset at the town of Oia. Strictly speaking, this is more of a twilight shot than a true sunset, but I think I like this view better because you can see the lights of the night sprawling into life. This is also the time when the massive crowds have mostly left, so I could set up my tripod and shoot long exposures.
