Description
NGC 3576, colloquially known as the Statue of Liberty Nebula (pretty obvious, if you see it), is an emission nebula and star-forming region located in the constellation of Centaurus. In its position in the night sky, it is located between the Running Chicken Nebula (IC 2944) and the Grand Carina Nebula (NGC 3372).
I have posted this object before, but I wasn't happy with the previous version as I felt that more data was needed to really show the colours of the nebula, especially in the fainter regions. I have managed to acquire another 1.5 hours of Oxygen III data, which has allowed me to create this new version. Enjoy!
