In the center there is a brad that goes all the way through to the bottlecap. then you seal it in resin and it remains pretty secure.

XD Here is an example: [link] The brand I use is Tim Holtz, he makes a lot of grunge, steampunk styled metal pieces. They are mainly in bronze, gold and silver tones.

I was trying to recreate a similar piece that I sold when I first started but the pieces just didn't want to fit together the same way. I'll probably try again when I have a chance to buy more parts.
