Description
I really wanted to do a spring themed kinda picture, since it is coming up and all that and I usually don't do pictures for other seasonly occasions. I found this image on stock exchange and really loved it, waited forever to get permission and then began to vector. Took me a day or two and I really like how it came out. I also used a bunch of flower pictures from everywhere, so I'm sorry I don't have links to all of them.Close up 1 / Close up 2

The hair is absolutely beautiful. To me that's always been the hardest part. The only part I don't love is the background color- the off-beige. It just seems to drain some of the more subtle colors from the image.
I love the flowers in her hair

this is awesome. i'd add some bright blue, to really complete the spring feeling. reminds me of a cover for a yukio mishima book.

beautifully done, y'see.. this is why I wish I had some sort of talent besides photography, I'm totally stuck when it comes to seasonal work (unless I happen to leave the country, that would be nice ) I really appreciate this, it really does make me feel like spring, i like the muted colors

funny how that works out, isn't it?
I understand what that's like.
I think that's the thing that I love most about what I do, ultimately, whether I'm a well known photographer or not, I'm still showing bits and pieces of my world as of 2008. that thought makes me happy, 'cause despite how close things may be hundreds of years from now, it'll never be the exactly same so regardless of whether or not I make any money, I can still feel like I'm still doing something good for the world, though we may not realize it quite yet

Ukio e is a style of japanese art very famous... it was like the pinup posters of the that era usually depicting flowers, and pale skin geisha with elaborate dress design(when they were wearing clothes)(youm ight wanna give it a google later on for inspiration). They say Goya was inspired by that art. Especially with the whole Sunflower thing. Ok so now I'm starting to sound like my art history class teacher lol... I had to do a report on Ukio-e some years back that's why its permanently engraved in my brain sorry for the "Class mode"...I get like that sometimes

Wish I had your skills. All the fine shades really makes it look dynamic, smooth and nicely 3d'ish.
