Here are a bunch of sock monkeys I sewed as gifts for people recently. I'm on a bit of a sock monkey kick at the moment. Whenever I get a spare moment, I try to make one or three. I have a whole sack full of socks in the corner of my sewing room that I work from. Whenever I see interesting socks in the store, I can't resist buying a bunch. I especially like the fuzzy socks.. they make the best monkeys, imho.Maybe one of these days I'll branch into other sock creatures, but for now I'm sticking with monkeys.

I guess it would depend on whether or not I made clothes for them (which can double the time). An unclothed sock monkey, I don't think I'd do for anything less than $25-30. I know that probably sounds kind of high, but it would probably take me about 2-3 hours just to make one since a lot of it has to be sewed by hand.
I see other people on etsy offering them for $10-15... Either they've got the process down to a science, or they're under-selling themselves.

Thank you! They are super easy to make. I got my intructions off the internet somewhere, then after I got the hang of making them I started improvizing.

Awh thanks. Actually only one is wearing a dress. The other two with clothes are wearing gym wear, and a Starbucks apron. (Kinda hard to make out the details in this group pic though.)
