From one of my stories. The Lady watches as the incoming atomic bomb homes in on her and her ship. Despite the valiant efforts of her soaring fighters, dogfighting with the bomb's defenders and trying to destroy it before it reaches her, she realizes that it will not be enough and that she and everything in sight are doomed.
