The idea for this pic came to me while I was in the middle of working on the pencil art for my Gallery's 25,000 Hit commemorative pic. However, given the spirit of the season, I felt this project took precedence.The last little while, I've been corresponding with DA member, , who, for various reasons, is having a bit of the holiday blues right now. A couple days ago, I came to the decision to try and do something nice for her, in the hopes of cheering her up, even if it was just a little bit. So I skimmed over her Gallery and found an OC of hers that I felt I'd draw a Christmas-style pic, as my gift to her.
, this is my way of saying that I hope, in the end, you have a Merry Christmas and I hope you end up liking what you see here. I know it's not much, but I hope you take it in the spirit for which it's intended. Given that she's an anime character, I hope you don't mind that I drew her in my Kim Possible style (which ended up lending itself to taking a few liberties with the color scheme). I also understand that she's probably not the type to smile all that much, given her parentage. However, somehow, in your case, I felt she'd be willing to make an exception. As for the outfit, I loosely based the design off the pic of her that I got from your Gallery as a reference. I just made it Christmas-themed.
As for everyone else, think of this as my holiday-themed pic for the year. Hopefully, if any of you know , maybe you can wish her a Merry Christmas as well, just to let her know you're thinking about her. If not, maybe this pic will inspire you to reach out to someone else who's having it rough this season and let them know that they've got a friend who's thinking about them. Either way, enjoy the pic and Merry Christmas (or whatever it is you celebrate this year).^_^

Glad you liked my KP take on Hanami. I suppose, in retrospect, I should have made her with pale skin, like her father. But at the time, I was thinking KP-style Japanese and that's pretty much the basic color scheme. All in all, though, I was quite pleased with how she turned out.^_^
As for the "Merry Whatever" wishes, well, that was less directed at you and more directed at those who come across the pic and may not celebrate Christmas, but who I didn't want to exclude. I knew Christmas was what you celebrated.^_^
So I'll wish you a Merry Christmas one more time. I hope that other things come along that will allow it to be a happy one for you. But either way, I'll still be around, okay?^_^

Thank you, I really can't put into words how much this means to me, just that one picture and I feel better to know that at least someone cares. I never got to respond back to your other message due to my feeling sick tonight and previously my nose was glued to photoshop finishing a drawing I had done. But I'll take your advice, I won't give up. I have quite a few friends in real life aside from Mr. Demanding, who actually care about me and want me to be happy. I'm not getting much on my birthday but I will get to spend time with my friends and the next day I can spend it with mom and dad. Mom's idea since one of my friends will be busy on Saturday so I gotta spend Friday with them and Saturday with my parents.
As for Christmas, its still seems sad but this was one thing that's already made it special. Thank you so very much for being such a great friend. And for listening to me go on and on.
And don't worry about that, she looks perfect. Just the thought, time and effort you put into this makes me happy with her. Thank you again and thanks for that comfort ^_^

I hope that whatever time you get to spend with family and friends will be happy (something tells me your mother realized that you needed some time with your friends right now). And I'm always around to talk to if you have any problems. Again, I'm glad you liked the picture, I'm glad it made you feel better and no problem to doing it. Believe me, I'm glad it helped.
Now you just focus on getting over that cold before Friday so you don't end up giving it to any of your friends.^_^

While I wasn't expecting another pic aside from your commemorative pic, I'm not complaining. Nice job. For some reason, the face reminds me of Zita Flores. But then again this was drawn in KP style.
