Welcome to Amity Park, 10 years in the future. And oh look, here are Danny Phantom and Sam Manson, 10 years in the future as well. Just let that be a warning to anyone looking to come into town and cause trouble...THIS is what you've got there waiting for you.

This is my future version of Danny and Sam that were brought to the present by Clockwork to fight Dark Danny in my first DP fanfic, "Facing the Future" (which you can find on fanfiction.net, along with my other fanfics, using the link here...[link] ). For the record, this isn't what Danny typically wears in the future. He simply wore it for that mission alone as kind of a disguise. This, however, IS what Sam typically wears in the future when she goes ghost. As you can see, she also went through a bit of a piercing phase, too (believe me, you should see how much metal she has in her ears).

For the record, I was really tempted to throw some cool Ghost Ray effects into this one, but I decided against it, because I felt it would obscure a lot. I wanted this to be a profile pic more than anything, so I really wanted to show off as much as possible. This is why I even threw in the flaming skull, which is actually on the back of Sam's coat. But since you obviously can't see her back, I wanted to add it in.

Actually, I was thinking about who would do Future Danny and Future Sam's voices if my story was actually an animated episode (hey, it's nice to dream). While Eric Roberts was a good choice to play Dark Danny, his voice wouldn't exactly be the best fit for this obviously brighter version of Danny's future. So after a lot of thinking, it finally came to me that Micheal Rosenbaum (who voiced the Flash on Justice League and JLU) would be a really great fit, clearly older sounding, but not as sinister. As for Future Sam, I did a lot of thinking there as well and thought that Nicole Sullivan (known for voicing such sassy females as Shego and Drew Saturday) would be perfect for playing an older version of Sam. If you get to reading "Facing the Future", try to hear their voices saying the words and see if you agree.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings. You didn't come here to listen to me talk. I'll just say that a lot of work went into this one and I'm really pleased with the final product. I hope everyone else feels the same.
