"There's a first time for everything."Truer words were never spoken and case in point with my latest Danny Phantom pic. This one is based on a scene from my fanfic, "Hearts and Minds". After narrowly escaping Nocturne's dream world, where he sealed away their memories of each other, here we have Danny and Sam on the roof of Casper High, during a school dance. This image shows Danny and Sam sharing a warm moment after just moments ago, saying out loud for the first time that they love each other.
Without a doubt, the hardest part of this whole pic was Sam's dress. The original pencil drawing was difficult enough (it must have taken me at least five or six tries before I finally came up with a spider web design that I thought worked). But the hard lines and color were what turned out to be the real nightmare, what with the webs, the fishnets, and most complicated, the semi-transparent shawl she's got draped over her arms. I can think of at least half a dozen ways off the top of my head that I could have made this ordeal A LOT easier on myself. But when it was all said and done, I'm really glad I went the extra mile on this. There's just a lot more to see that wouldn't have been there if I'd gone a simpler way and I'm exceptionally proud of the end result. Hope you all feel the same.

Personally, I don't think Sam would WANT Danny to "goth up". My thought, he loves him just the way he is. And I think he brings a certain amount of sunshine into her life that she actually doesn't mind, because it's coming from him.
Actually, when you get to my fanfic, "Pairing Off", there's a bit of dialogue right at the beginning where I think you'll get a pretty good idea on where they stand on each other, relationship-wise.^_^

Well, if Danny decided to get one, I think Sam might want to have some input as to what it was. But if he chose not to, I don't think she'd push the issue. She respects Danny too much for that. And like I said, she'd most likely want him to stay true to who he is.

I can truly respect that and those to do share a love that is so pure that that is the reason my OC Burner wants to be friends. Oh and I have an OC villain you might like to use, he is called The Poultrigeist Piper or Piper for short and he is feared by all ghost for his ability to put any ghost or ghosts under his command through the sound if his flute. Even in the Ghost Zone ghost avoid his island like people avoid the Bermuda Triangle cause ghost that venture to close get enslaved by his music and never leave. His island has these rocks carved in certain shapes that so when the wind blows through them it plays his mind controlling song. And he can make any ghost do what he wants just by changing the tempo.
Aggressive tempo: makes ghost fight like berserkers.
Sad tempo: makes ghost form a wall around him made of there bodies to shield him.
I figured Skulker or somebody could pay him off to go after Sam, Danny, and Danielle an it would up to tucker an Valerie to save them before they become permant slaves. How dose that sound for a story idea good or bad?

Hmmm...well, the story sounds interesting, I'll tell you that much. AS for using it for my purposes, I don't know if I'd be able to use it EXACTLY like this. But I might be able to tweak it in order to fit it into another story I'm planning down the road. The story would actually feature Freakshow as the main villain.

Well, here's what I'm thinking. How about this piper was once a servant of Pariah Dark during his reign in the Ghost Zone. Only his flute was taken from him and hidden away during the initial uprising that Locked Pariah inside the Sarcophagus of Eternal Sleep. That could be where Freakshow comes in. Wanting to regain his ability to control all ghosts, he wants to acquire the flute for himself. AS for the Piper himself, I could put him in my back pocket and possibly use him later on down the road.^_^

I like this story idea. Something like see done I future. Do you think that Danni will be in it? I think this be story where his human friends and family will have to help him. When you come out with this read it and tell you what I think about.

Well, I'm still getting these characters together, so who knows? Things might change between now and then. But if there's something for Danielle to do in the story, I'll definitely put her in there.

That could work as long as Piper makes an appearance in the future to get his glut back. Oh and I should tell you his weakness is his greed for gold so if you want to use that you can just credit me if you would please.

Well, I might want to develop him a little more than that. But I'll see what I can do. Just bear in mind that it might be a while before any of these OCs make an appearance in my series. Just sayin'.

Well, one or two people have been heard to say that I drew the legs TOO long in this pic. But again, that's something that I wasn't really seeing in the heat of the creative process. I'd like to think that I wouldn't go to quite that length if I was drawing it today. Of course, I've got a bunch of other pics to focus on right now. Not to mention two new fanfics.

Thank you. Like I said, that was the hardest part of the entire process and I could have just as easily avoided that whole mess. But I was glad to have gone the extra mile in the end, because it was definitely worth it and I'm very happy with the results. Of course, such a thing would be no problem for me to do today, as I've learned quite a few different techniques that would make it a lot easier. But at the time, having never done it before, there were aspects of the pic that were quite daunting. Still, it's all out there in the end.^_^

Yeah, that was the big part of that project. Of course, if I knew then what I know now, that pic would have been a lot easier to do (and might have even looked a bit different, too). Oh well...^_^

Glad to hear it. Yeah, there were quite a few ways I could have cut corners with Sam's dress to get the pic done faster. But in the end, I was glad I went the extra mile with it, because it totally plays. Of course, I know a few things now I didn't know then that would have made for a smoother going anyway, but that's neither here nor there at this point.

Well, for the record, my next DP story (which will be entitled "Royal Occupation") should be coming out, either this weekend or next. Ideally, I'd like to have it out this weekend, given that it's set against the backdrop of Halloween. But even if that doesn't happen, I figure next week is close enough that it won't matter if it ends up being a little bit late.

Well, for what it's worth, that actually might be a little while. For the record, I want my next couple of fics to be Kim Possible stories. What with all the work I've been doing with DP, my KP fanfic series has kind of gotten away from me. It's time to play a little catch-up. Of course, that's not to say that you won't still be seeing DP artwork from me in the meantime.
