Been working on a new head sculpt, and finally got some molds made yesterday. First test cast did not turn out, but this is the second attempt. It's a BJD head (duh) for the TL2 body. She wears 12/14mm eyes (14 here) and size 8 wigs. The headcap is textured to look like cropped hair. It also holds onto wigs pretty well.Related content

Hmm, I suppose Iplehouse and Granado have some male ethnic faces, but when I think about it there are not very many around.

No, but I want to make another ethnic head for the current body which would be a progression from Nkiru.

I'm not making anything to sell at the moment because I am working on a new sculpt, but theoretically I could make/sell just the head. This would make difficult to find a body to match though, and it's also really hard to try to cast to match another colour.

I hope you're doing well, I haven't been lurking here on DA for a while, it's been nice to drop by and catch up with everything. Just as a matter of interest, if you did make just the Nkiru head how much would it cost? I'm wondering if I could get a body from somewhere and blush it to match maybe. I'm so in love with her I'd hate to miss a chance to owning my own Nkiru.

Do you cast the full doll in the dark tan resin, or do you do the dark resin layer over white?

Oh, well I like your work because it IS very unique, which I suppose would come from your own interests. You use much more solid facial shapes I feel than a lot of the mainstream BJDs- which are beautiful in their own way, but often shake me as very... porcelain? If that makes sense. I feel you avoid that well.
