Is there an AU where the role swap with Callie and Marie yet? ...Haven't heard anything so...Mission Guide Callie would probably be a very unsure guide. Though she can certainly handle things by herself, but with her cousin, Marie, gone, she constantly spaces out, thinking of what happened to her. She's a lot more caring and patient towards Agent 4, even when they keep talking to her. She would probably reach Octo!Marie with a bomb or a roller swing.
Octo!Marie and her comebacks tends to be very insulting, even to the point of being hurtful. Despite this, you might hear a pun from her.
... I just want to hear the songs if the roles were swapped, man!

I believe someone has already done a role-swap of Callie and Marie in Splatoon 2, here on dA. Though honestly I like this drawing more. You even added a slight background to each of the swapped roles. Kudos! I like what you've done with them. Marie especially looks into her new role, hah. She was always my favorite character and singer out of all of them (including Callie, Off the Hook, Squid Squad, Wet Floor, etc.)

'Course I like it! What's not to like? It's freakin' Callie and Marie from Splatoon 2 in switched roles. X3
I honestly like to think that Callie joined with the Octarians on her own free will. That would've been so much more engaging than what we actually got. ;.; I prefer Marie because of her personality, and the hidden lore that fans like to give her. I can relate to Marie so much when it comes to her relationship with her family (Callie and Cuttlefish). Also, her sarcasm is a nice bonus.

That's what a lot of the fandom thought at first, too. Honestly, though, I'm not surprised that Nintendo went the route they did. They are meant to be a family friendly environment.

Though Nintendo has proven time and time again that they can be very dark when need be. I can point out a ton of examples from, let's say, the Legend of Zelda franchise. Or PokΓ©mon. Or Metroid. I more you dig deep into a franchise, the more likely you are to find some not-so-family-friendly things hidden in there. Splatoon has some dark things that the fans just love discussing about. ...Genocide Theory... cough Though then again, those are mainly speculations, and nothing concrete or deliberately put in there by Nintendo themselves.

Kid Icarus has the main character have a near death experience, blood and bones included.

Really? I didn't know Kid Icarus was that dark. I've always found it to be pretty funny. Or maybe that's just the YouTube videos I've seen where they make fun of the character's dialogues.
Huh, Marina is the one who's brainwashed or the Inklings listening to her music? I don't believe so, especially after Octo Expansion. I'm not going to spoil anything in case you haven't played through the DLC yet, but I can safely say that Marina wasn't brainwashed like that.

Yep! There can be some genuinely dark moments in that game, but yeah, their dialogue is more well-known.

Her shots happen so fast that you basically need to keep moving.
I would like to see this, though! It would be so cool!
