~~~Part 1/2 of a gradient-shaded commission for of a rainforest phoenix character, part of a short story I was sent.
Hmm, hawk head, feet, and wings, owl body, and bird of paradise tail and colours. Colours pre-approved by Rykaran.
I hope that folded wing turned out well enough, hehe. I referenced about half a dozen folded bird wings trying to find the clearest one. Look at all the tiny little shading details and highlights! *strokes phoenix's crest*
