Description
~~~Gradient-shaded and full-background comish for Onom of FA of his gryphon, Gibbs, in a snowy forest and getting ready to leap into flight. ^^
I got to do this guy's ref sheet, so I'm quite partial to him - he's such a spiffy dude! I was really excited when Onom said about a full piece, especially since I haven't done a winter-themed background in...a while! Some good speedpaint/atmospheric practice. And Gibbs. Just Gibbs.

It looks like a zebra/snow leopard/bird w/ cat ears. Your inventiveness never ceases to amaze! The color and shading are beautiful and you do have a remarkably soft touch at it but I've seen good technique before. Creativity can't be taught.

Nice way of colouration in this picture, some kind of semirealistic, really beautiful. One can sense the power within the art, this "I can reach any goal I want to" the character may think. The background fits everything perfect and - wonderful anatomy of this humanoid creature!

The lighting on this one is beautiful! I really like how you drew the faint streaks of light to make the clearing look bright, even when most of the drawing is dark. Not to mention it also emulates light shining through leaves perfectly. Another thing that I think is effective is that the background is largely made of cool colors, so the light looks even warmer and brighter.
And of course, the character is drawn amazingly as well.

The wings are what caught my attention. Normally I don't care much for your anthros... This one has a great pose, great lighting, and excellent detail.
